Overemotional is really great debut novel from David Fenne. The story really pulls you in and keeps you gripped throughout. It makes it so that you are really invested in the characters and what is happening.
The pacing of the book is well done, at no point did it feel rushed nor did it drag - I just wanted to keep reading.
It is full of mystery and magic - two things I love in a story, and at times, was quite a funny book. The characters are lovable and it is fun being along for the ride with them.
It is wholesome and it makes me happy to see queer books take centre stage - something that never would have been the case when I was growing up. Coming of age stories are very YA, but they can be enjoyed by adults as well, you just have to see it for what it is.
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone and I am looking forward to reading more books from this author in the future.
