I am sorry to give this such a low rating, but I really was not a fan of this book. I had very high hopes going in because it sounded so interesting, and was described as "wholesome" - but I would have to disagree with this.
Firstly, the plot itself was not anything special, and the writing was fine too. I absolutely hated Freya, she was an awful friend, trying to push Steven to come out, and pestering him about what label he was - which he did not need to answer to, he owed her nothing.
There was also a love triangle which I did not know about. I am not the biggest fan of love triangles but sometimes they can be done well - this was not the case here. The other love interest Zachary was literally like 80 years old??? But looked like he was in his 20s - which btw is still wrong as the main character is 17? Why would the author decide that was a good idea I have no clue.
Overall, I was not a fan of this book, and I feel bad giving books such a low rating but I also can't lie. :/
