I was really pleased to find a book for Young Adults that was dealing with sexuality, confusion and friendships. It’s not something I have read about so explicitly when I was a YA as looking back then I found books were more alluding to sexuality than being so explicit about it. I did think that the fantasy aspect of the story which involved the protagonist having such a range of intense superpowers was quite surreal. But again, this is not something similar to what I’ve read before so it did hold my intrigue.
In general, this was a good read and I did find that the characters were all very interesting and you do feel that you want to know what they are thinking and what they do next. I did find that the concept of superpowers linked to emotions was really a bit weird but then again this was probably a key part in what kept me interested in this book!
