This is an amazing debut by a very talented author.
The story is about Stephen, a teenager who develops an unwanted superpower which causes mayhem when he becomes emotional. He moves to a remote and rundown seaside town to avoid causing mayhem with his uncontrollable owners but his sassy best friend, Freya, and her boyfriend, Marcus and an American admirer, Troy, track him down.
The book covers so many issues which affect Young Adults - it’s targeted audience.
It has espionage, romance, fantasy, homosexuality, friendship and many other topics.
The construction of the book is clever and the dialogue and narrative are very witty.
This book covers so many genres. It will appeal to many readers who will all be eagerly awaiting the next 2 books in this trilogy.
It isn’t really my type of book but I can’t help admiring the many talents of this new author.
