This a is a lighthearted wholesome book that explores themes of friendship, as a group of friends navigate life and a bizarre and weird adventure. This book also has a lot of humour and the book overall was cleverly thought out. It tackles important themes that are relevant in society without losing the element of humour and easily jumps between 4 main characters pretty seamlessly which works well and in the books favour. My favourite part was the friendship between Steven and Freya which is incredibly strong and develops well throughout the story. Their friendship is also very inspiring and heartwarming and it is clear how much affection they hold for each other. Overall this is a great start to a trilogy with good tropes and writing that make this story easy to read and gripping. Although this isn't a book I would normally go for I really did enjoy this book.
