Although another children's book and I am not the intended audience, I did think this was a fun start to a book.
It is based in Oxford, although there is a human (Terran) world and the cosmic world beyond. We are introduced to Peregrine Quinn and her godfather just before all the portals connecting the worlds fail.
It could be a fun fantasy book.
