I don't read nonfiction often but what i do read is often an interesting topic written in a gripping way. I like this book cover and the title would attract me. So this for me would be an interesting topic but it's written too academically for me. It's not to say I don't like reading academic writing. It was something about the writing style. I didnt like the introduction and I struggled to continue on because it remained in that same style. I honestly couldn't tell you what I read because it did not stick in my head. The author clearly has researched well and written well but in a style that doesn't suit me.
