Portable Magic is a book about books. As an avid book reader it appeals to me in a huge way; I love learning about books, their shape, their size, the history of their words, every single thing appeals. From the first impression I was instantly fascinated - the author is clearly going to take the reader on a diverse and intriguing journey - from Bleak House to Jilly Cooper's riders to name a few! It sounds like a book which can be read time and time again and appreciated and savoured. I really hope I get a review copy to find out more.
