I liked this book. I thought that this was an interesting book. I enjoyed the writing and I did think it was interesting to hear about books and how they have changed over time. I like the idea of books being magic and I enjoyed the title of the book as well, as I find books a type of magic. There is a lot of history to books, including the more contentious aspects, such as book burning and censorship, which has happened over time.
I thought that the style was very readable and easy to understand, which is not always the case with non-fiction works. The style of writing is straightforward although it is sometimes a bit thorough. I was engaged throughout and I wanted to get to the end, whereas sometimes I do stop reading these types of books.
I would read other books by this author and I would be interested to see what else she writes about.
