This is an interesting and thought provoking read. With an insight in to well known stories and authors. A history of linking folklore to more recent novels or well known 'modern' tales. Giving background information on the making of books from past to current methods, also to the atmosphere some stories create. This book would be a good read for anyone who likes to read - its informative and thought provoking, with facts on the whole history of books and how people were not always encouraged to read, or only certain people were allowed to read. Explaining how some authors are well know for a certain genre of book from Charles Dickens to Steven Spielberg how they use words to build an atmosphere and set the scene encouraging the reader to imagine themselves as part of the evolving and ever changing story. I only read the preview, but I think this would be an interesting read.
