I read PS I Love You by Cecilia Ahern when it first came out and was very moved by the story of Holly and Gerry. In the years that have passed since then my husband died of cancer, as Gerry did in the book, making it even more meaningful. In Postscript Cecilia Ahern revisits Holly seven years after Gerry's death at a time when Holly is rebuilding her life and has just moved in with Gabriel. Holly's sister, Ciara, has a vintage shop, which supports various charities, where Holly also works and Holly agrees to participate in a podcast by Ciara on the subject of How To Talk About Death but regrets her decision to take part when Angela, a woman who regularly donates vintage items, wants her to do more talks. A few weeks after getting a business card from her with PS I Love You Club printed on it Holly calls her to put a stop to her pestering Holly as she doesn't want to discuss her grief again with strangers however the man who answers tells her Angela has just died - of cancer. I know this is going to be a very emotional read and one that I believe many people will identify with and want to read.
