I haven't read PS I Love You, though if course I know the basic premise of the story.
This opening has made me want to read both books!
It is clear that even in this short excerpt that Cecilia Ahern is a very talented writer, tackling big topics like grief in a nuanced and sensitive way.
I really enjoyed this excerpt and was not expecting the end (no spoilers).
