The PS, I Love You Club are the six words written on a card handed to Holly Kennedy. The mysterious club wants something from her but Holly doesn't have the courage to meet with them. P. S, I Love You were the words that Gerry signed his dying letters to her with six years ago. Holly has worked hard to leave this world behind her and those six words on the card have left her feeling stunned. What is this club and why do they need Holly?

Postscript was beautifully written, and we're immediately drawn into Holly's emotions through the authors writing. I read Postscript immediately after reading P. S. I Love You and the improvement in the writing is clearly visible. It is lovely to immerse ourselves in Holly's life again and familiar revisiting some of the other characters from the first book. Again, we have that same compassionate writing about grief and loss from the first book. Even though this is a sequel the author has explained and alluded to events from the first book so this can be read as a standalone book and would still continue to make sense to the reader.

However the sequel did feel entirely unnecessary. As pleasant as the plot and the new characters were I'm surprised I finished the book. I felt like Holly's story was fine where it ended in the first book and I honestly disliked Holly's initial behaviour towards the PS I Love You Club. In this book I appreciated the author writing about the theme of preparing for one's own death, and the author has used the PS I Love You Club to show that there can be hope and love in the process. I would not have gotten through this book without having read the first book. I think readers who passionately loved the first book will enjoy this sequel.
