Unlike most people, I only read PS I Love you recently. I read that and then went straight on to Postscript. I don't know if that affected my opinions on it!

Postscript was Cecelia Ahern’s response time what I imagine was an onslaught of people demanding to know what lay in Hollys future l. I didn’t have to wait over a decade for it as I only read PS I Love You last month!⁣

We catch up with Holly 7 years post PS ILY as she is working in her sisters charity shop and struggling to feel Gerrys presence anymore. When she is asked to feature on a podcast talking about death and grief, Holly has no idea about some of the people this will open her up to, and the chances of it leaving her vulnerable in the face of grief once again. ⁣

As a sequel this had a lot to live up to and it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me 🙁. It’s not to say I didn’t love it but it didn’t make me feel as much as the first did. I adored Ginika- brave, strong and definitely my favourite character.⁣

For the most part it was fairly predictable but one bit at the end took me by total surprise! Overall I think it was a really lovely book that gave Holly and Gerry a fitting end. However I’m still on the hunt for a book this year that makes me cry
