From the outset the sequel to PS I Love You has captured my attention and thrust me back in to memories of the original novel. You instantly feel a connection to Holly given that death is a topic that will affect us all throughout our lives and the hope that she has found somebody else and ultimately survived the challenge that her husband’s death caused is very inspirational for other widows. You can relate to the inner turmoil whenever her sister invites her to speak about Gerry once more and essentially reopen her old wound to some extent, causing her to doubt herself and her actions following her grieving period.

The writing style is very easy to follow and I feel this is a perfect book to read for pleasure, but will also make you reflect on the main themes long after you’ve set the book down, such as what really is important to you in your life. I can’t wait to read the full book!
