From we hat I have read in the first chapter of the postscript edition of 'PS. I love you' it has kept the essence of the relationship between Holly and Gerry. It is explained well and flows smoothly with how the original story went, with Holly's friends navigating marriage and parenthood and Holly having over one her grief only to have to relive it again. The first time through the letters, the 2nd time to help other people that have experienced loss and bereavement to resolve their grief in different ways. The way the story explained how Holly felt talking about Gerry seems very relatable because no matter how much time passes you do still feel guilty continuing your life without them, even if deep down you know it is what they would have wanted for you. I do hope that Holly still designs shoes as that was a lovely sentiment she got into because of the letters.
