Six years after Gerry's final letter, Holly once again finds herself reading those four little words - PS I Love You. But this time they don't come from Gerry, instead they make up the name of a mysterious club, The PS I Love Club who want Holly's help.

At first Holly isn't sure she wants to meet them, but she soon finds herself willing to do whatever it takes to help it's members and in the process, learns just what it means to live life to the full.

I was stupidly excited when I found out that Ahern was writing a sequel to PS I Love You and so intrigued to see how she would continue the story that she wrote over 15 years ago and I've got to say, I personally think book two is just as special.

Although Gerry and his letters play a pivotal role, Postscript doesn't focus on Holly and Gerry all that much, instead it focuses on the relationship of Holly and the members of The PS I Love You Club, all of whom are terminally ill and want her help with writing their own letters to leave behind for their loved ones. Holly finds herself, setting up clues, recording video diaries and teaching a young Mum to read and write all in the name of leaving someone else their very own version of a PS I Love You letter.

Of course this stirs up memories for Holly, which as a reader we bare witness too but it also gives her a new sense of purpose and the encouragement to move forward and let's just say what happens for Holly at the end is well worth the wait. With any sequel, there's always a worry that it won't live up to the first book, but Postscript was just as emotional, just as moving and just as intimate as PS I Love You.
