When first hearing there would be a sequel to P.S I Love You I was a little sceptical. I shouldn't have worried. Cecelia Ahern has the ability to write her characters in such a way that you feel like you already know them. And yes, although we already knew Holly it was as if meeting up with that friend that you don't speak to that often but when you do, you fall right back in to the rhythm of your friendship.

Although Cecelia gives her readers the chance to reacquaint themselves with not only Holly but Gerry she doesn't use half of the book rehashing the story from its first installment. Her writing is rhythmical and easy to follow.

To see death through the eyes of those who are waiting for it is an extraordinary thing and not one I'm sure many have considered. Whilst we all know death in certain in the end, we live our lives as though it is never coming. The exploration of the main characters and the insights as to how different they all wished to remain a part of their loved ones lives was although at times very sad it was also uplifting.

Death is not an easy subject to write about and this book does not shy away from it, however at the end you feel rejuvenated and a renewed sense for living your own life to the full.
