This book is a continuation of the highly popular ‘PS I Love You’ and follows Holly’s story seven years after Gerry died.
Holly is now working with her sister in a shop and is in a relationship with Gabrial. Ciara, her sister, persuades Holly to do a podcast, talking about Gerry and his letters. At first reluctant, this begins to stir up memories for Holly and, although things seem to be going well for her in her new life without Gerry, a woman then turns up, begging her to attend the ‘PS I Love You Club’. Intrigued, Holly is torn … she doesn’t want to get involved yet her curiosity gets the better of her and eventually she visits – and is overwhelmed at what she finds.
The rest of the book is an emotional whirlwind for Holly as she starts remembering her life with Gerry again. This affects the relationships around her, as real life is all consuming and overtaken by helping the PS Club members with their wishes.
Although the original book was written around 16 years ago, anyone that was a fan will want to read ‘Postscript’ to go along with Holly on her journey. Just this right side of sentimental and yet not overly sad or depressing, this is a heartwarming read about a wonderful character that I think we’ve all missed! I didn’t realise there was another book coming so it’s been a much welcome surprise to catch up with Holly and see if she ever got her happy ending! Loved it. Highly recommended.
