My first look at a Wilbur Smith book, although familiar with his style I haven’t read any of his books yet. At first I thought I would be able to read this with my family but quickly realised it would be too scary for an evening read with younger children. I do think the storyline would appeal to older children who love adventure, thrills and a little gore.
