As a young adult (in the mid-sixties) I read a number of Wilbur Smith's earliest novels and quite enjoyed the action-packed adventures and 'exotic' locations he set them in. However, they soon lost their appeal because they began to feel far too predictable and, having now read the first twenty two pages of his latest I can tell that his style hasn't changed so I won't enter the draw to win a copy as I'm sure there are many younger fans out there who'll appreciate this story!
