It starts of strong full of action and suspense straight from the prologue however throughout reminded me of the Jurassic Park films. Ralph and Robin are searching for an elephant that might be starving when they stumble upon the existence of a mystery creature that even lions are afraid of.

The beast has huge sharp jaws and giant paws while terrorising and injuring animals. This makes the book a little bit gory at times but still definitely quite good and I would recommend it for children between 10 and 14 years old. However I believe that this story which includes animals being hurt and killed could influence younger teenagers to take better care of animals.

The story is very up to date with the technology aspects of the subject and include drones, infrared sensors and cams. The book also highlights the importance of protecting the natural world.
