The startling cover immediately sets the scene, monster crocodiles bursting from the water to try to eat the teenage heros. Without giving too much of the plot away, our teenage brother and sister are living in Africa on their father's game reserve. Both are passionate about caring for animals and the environment. They are also extremely fit and good with guns. Their father has a big family book that their forebears have written entries in describing their adventures in their lives giving rise to the family term of "Adventurists". Into their world comes a repulsive neighbour who props up a corrupt dictator with money from sales of a world beating action computer game. The action in the games is so vivid as he uses animals (and sometimes humans too) that he has cloned from extinct species, giant monsters that are vicious and hungry. Our teenagers use modern technology and software to beat him and his nasty cohorts who have armour plated drones chasing them. It is real edge-of-seat reading, with blood guts and gore on nearly every page. By modern standards this is not a big book, 226 pages, and is written by two men using some Wilbur Smith notes, and keeping up his style very well. You will be spell bound, and maybe a little frightened? You will love it.
