The story is captivating and exciting and the descriptions make you feel as if you are present.Wilbur Smith has written many book but this is one of the best .It is fast paced with many twist and turn and the characters themselves are great .The settings are well described as well as the characters .the two antagonist, Ralph and Robyn are witty and their backstory is touching and they just want adventure. The writing is quite descriptive but maybe a bit too descriptive. The use of harder vocabulary makes the story interesting and alle the occurring events are well planed .the story is like a mix of both fiction and non -fiction as it is informative. The villain is truly mysterious and deadly .the mix of prehistoric and present animals adds a flare to the story .overall the book is fun to read and is perfect if you love extinct and alive animals present in one book
