I haven’t recently loved fantasy for it’s ability to take you to a completely different world. This feels like such an incredibly unique tale, I have never before read a book with an immortal monarch. When reading the first impression I was struck by the changing points of view with each chapter. I absolutely love the depth that this can give a story and loved that the perspectives were clearly marked. I have been left desperately wanting to know what happens to Selestra and Nox. Can they survive? What will happen to the king?
The cover is absolutely stunning yet also haunting. It is definitely one that I would be drawn to pick up in a shop.
