I definitely went into this First Look with high expectations as To Kill A Kingdom is a favourite book of mine and this for sure met those expectations. In just 30 pages it managed to cram in world building and character development while also keeping the plot moving incredibly quickly. Both points of view had distinct personal voices and styles making it easy to tell them apart and give them unique personalities. I feel the book cover definitely matches the vibe of the book and gives a good idea of what it will be about. I want to read more as I am instantly hooked by the synopsis and the cliffhanger of the first look, I need to know what happens! I also think both characters are going to have fascinating arcs and I always enjoy a character-heavy story.
