The beautiful cover is a little misleading as the first section of this novel deals with witchcraft, the power to predict death, plotting of revenge and a tyrranical king. Alexandra Christo doesn't write about fey beauty and whimsy. Instead, the reader encounters danger, ownership, dark powers and visions. Powerful stuff!
