My first impression is that this novel will appeal to a very wide range of readers from fantasy addicts through to romance seekers! This wide- ranging appeal I believe is down to the expert use of a diverse set of strategies to draw the reader in. These "tricks of the trade" include graphic descriptions of journeys, battles and the use of magic spells- what more could a reader want?
