Overall, I can see a lot of reasons for why this book is as popular as it is. For me personally, it’s not my usual genre or plot style so that naturally doesn’t appeal to be honest.
However, there are plenty of positives. The characters are well presented and seem to be well developed too. There is a clear plot structure with a detailed story behind it which has been carefully thought out and considered. I can see that there’s been a lot of thought behind it from the author.
The structure of the novel is good and easy to follow. I’ve not read any of the other books but that didn’t really become an hinderance for me. It’s quite an easy story to pick up. So don’t let the fact that there’s others put you off if you’ve not read them.
