I gave this: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5 stars)

This book is set in the same world as To Kill a Kingdom but makes few references. I did think there was going to be a little more crossover but perhaps just my expectations there. The author did a good job of world building however I would say this is rather loosely based on rapunzel, there could have been a lot more for me in this retelling.

I did like the storyline and writing style, the dual POV gives the reader an insight into both the main characters emotions and their dynamic throughout the story. The plot is super easy to follow and would be a great starter for someone entering into the fantasy genre and it can be read as a standalone.

It is a fun YA read and has the right level of enemies to lovers for the intended audience, being of NA age I usually like my enemies to lovers with a little more oomph, but this was a nice and easy read.
