I really enjoyed this story and the world building that was so evident within it. I thought the first book was really good and I was worried about how I would find this one considering it wasn't a direct sequel but followed different characters within the same world but it took me by surprise when i actually found this story to be even more enjoyable than the first. I thought the characters were very well developed and I enjoyed their interactions a lot throughout the story, and even the side characters had enough depth to them to feel like I was satisfied when reading. The writing style is very good and is the perfect fit for this YA story that I think is perfect for any younger readers who have interest in fantasy novels. This is an easy to follow story that kept me engaged throughout and I can definitely see myself re reading in the future to see if I can notice any foreshadowing for the satisfying ending!
