The first thing i was drawn to with this book was the intricate and mysterious design on the front cover. A serpent usually is associated to dark and sinister things and a crown is known to symbolise great power. If i saw it in a book shop, i would have to find out more!

The book comes across very enchanting and captivating, you almost feel intoxicated and have to keep reading.

Slowly but surely, the author reveals little segments about the main protagonists life - her past, how she got there, what lies in her future and why. It is all very alluring.

One of the things that drew me the most to this book is the reference to tales of fairy tales, myths and legends as this is my favourite genre to divulge in.

The book was very well written with vividly descriptive elements expressed throughout the story.

And so, the story continues through the ceremony, meeting additional characters. Selestra's mother Theola Somnistis (Greek/Latin word elements roughly equating to Goddess of sleep).

The author was very expressive when it came to portraying emotions ro the reader. I felt.the fear, tension, and excitement as much ad the characters!

It is one of those books that completely make you look out for further stories from the author.

I loved this book and will definitely be looking out for more like this! It was fab!
