Having read To Kill a Kingdom and loving it, I had extremely high expectations, and Alexandra Christo went over and above! I was highly invested in the characters from the first page, with the amazing writing style, and the plot is incredibly captivating. The darkness of the story is amazing, and I can see why the book is so well-received and famous on TikTok. While being an easy read, that by no means makes it boring - it was an easy read by wanting to know what happens next! It's fast-paced, funny, and very enjoyable. It's almost a mix between an adventure story, a fantasy story, and a love story, with an interesting relationship dynamic and it actually made me cry! Maybe I just cry to easily...
