This was an amazing read. I really enjoyed the fantasy aspect in this book and the whole world just engaged me. I was initially drawn to it as I had read this authors previous book ‘To kill a kingdom’ which had be hooked for a long time but when I picked it up I made sure not to have expectations too high. However I was pleasantly surprised and the world/characters sucked me in straight away and I read it in one sitting as I literally couldn’t put the book down. It was a short read and it was easy to get into and I loved our main female character. I would definitely recommend this book to any YA fantasy book lovers as it fits the genre perfectly… it’s got all the aspects you would expect it to have and the book is just generally written quite well. Overall, again, this was a great book and I think you should read it if you are considering at all by any chance!!
