This is such a good read I was really impressed with it, especially as I am typically not the targeted audience. I will be passing on copies to young people in my life. I thought the story was well written and I liked the characters and found them interesting. The story follows main characters Selestra and Nox. Selestra is a witch in training, her mother is the Kings witch and she will inherit the place after her mother. Nox is a soldier who is set to take revenge for the death of his father and is looking to bring down the kingdom and starting with Selestra. Selestra must save herself and also hates the king so must convince Nox to work together. There is good interactions with the characters and a little romance. The story has great drama and i enjoyed the world that is created. I found it a fun and engaging read and I would definately recommend this book.
