For me this was a light and easy read, quick to get through and very fun. It's filled with magic, humour, adventure, romance! What more could you want.
Set in the same world as To Kill a Kingdom although not much is really mentioned to that regard apart from the sirens, but all good, this is a story all on its own with engaging characters and an exciting plot.
I love Selestra, she's a character you instantly want to root for and also Nox too. Irenya and Micah are great characters too. It's full of banter and fun with all of those characters together.
One character doesn't get so much as a happy ending though.
Overall, it's a good read, I'd definitely recommend if you wanted to read something not heavy and not packed to the brim with back story or detailed descriptions taking over half the page.
