After recently being introduced to the To Kill A Kingdom world, I was so excited to hear about it's newest family member... Princess of Souls. I'm a real sucker for a fairytale retelling, so I couldn't wait to get stuck right in!
In true Alexandra Christo fashion, its a far darker storyline then that of the Rapunzel fairytale we grew up with. In fact, apart from some small similarities (princess locked up in a tower, handsome dude saving princess from said tower and an evil mother figure) the two stories differ quite a bit.
With Christo, we get witches (a favourite of mine) soul eaters, immortality and the righting of past wrongs. Add in some action, a charismatic love interest and two loveable best friends and you've got yourself one hell of an enjoyable read. Dare I say it... but I *think* this might be my favourite Christo book yet!
