This book had me hooked from the very first chapter and it did not disappoint. I loved the plot, the world and the action. The characters were also very likeable and the romance was great (enemies to lovers can never go wrong). The story wrapped up really well at the end and I love how it was a standalone. However the only thing that i personally found weak in this book is the writing. Although it could be gripping at times, more than half of the language used was kinda childish and had me wondering whether this was a children’s book ( i know this sounds mean but that’s the only way to explain it). Also at some points the dialogue between the characters was childish as well and so made me enjoy the book less than i hoped for. Still this is a great fantasy standalone, quick paced and with an incredible world so i would definitely recommend it for everyone!!
