I absolutely loved this book!! Jordan Ifueko has built an amasing, diverse, magical world that I instantly fell in love with. Tarisai is an ultimate flawed heroine that we can all relate to and as the reader, you really fall in love with all the main characters. The bond of friendship and love is a thread throughout this story which gives it a really wholesome feel. I also loved the magic of this world; the Raybearers and their council but also the different Hallows of all of the Empires people. And the heartbreaking tale of the Redemptor children.
I honestly cannot wait for the next instalment and to dive back into the world of Aritsar; to see how Tarisai plans to save the day once again and rebuild the trust of the Songlanders.
If you are a lover of YA fantasy novels then I would wholeheartedly recommend this book! I couldn’t speak more highly of it! A definite must read.
