The author has a way of engaging you so quickly! It feels like you already know the characters and are right there alongside them as they begin their journey! The chapter ends with you wanting more which is always the sign of a good book. From the first sentence you’re hooked on what’s happening and have so many questions that you will read quickly to answer then. This really seems like a book that you could demolish in a day! The author is also very whitty in their remarks, you can immediately relate to the character! I also love how this author has included a map of the fantasy land. Without a map and lots of new areas and names it would be very difficult to come up with the pictures we create in our minds of the places we want to go! In the dedication the author plays on the love of readers of all ages bringing back the wonders we experienced the first time opening a book as a child!
