I read this lyrical, whimsical thing of a book with a FEVER! Can you just imagine the delirium riddled high I’m in rn??
I’m too fevered for sentences so this will be a fun review.
Pros:
-Best male/female friendships! (I live for these more than ships)
-Well written strained mother daughter relationship (it’s friggin hard to chose what is right over what you are taught!)
-Awesome magic system!
-Written like a fairytale
-Best descriptions EVER
-Plot twists that are well foreshadowed (but not obvious)
Cons:
-First person- just not my shizle *Ignore the double amount of 1st person books I have on my shelves*
-Slow burn plot
-Really wasn’t here for the love interest. Sorry! Loved the character just not the relationship
I am SO here for the sequel! And I was totally bummed by the uggo British cover, but I think that the sequel is actually prettier than the American cover? Controversial? IDK, just let me be happy!!
