Let’s start with the incredible world building, the author does an incredible job of creating a really detailed immersive world for the reader to be pulled in to and it really was a beautiful experience . I really enjoyed all the tales of folklore and the attention to detail in each new setting the female main character found herself in.
Tarisai is a wonderful character with traits that I quickly related to. Her upbringing was so guarded and I found myself tearing up and smiling along with her as she got to experience new things for the first time.
I have to admit the whole do you love me always being asked did have my hackles raised it was beyond obsessive.
Let’s not forget to mention the beautiful cover art. It is so vibrant and wonderfully designed.
