Haven't read much fantasy but this story sounded interesting.
Tarisai was raised by the mysterious lady, shunned and stinted of affection she is desperate for some kind of family interaction.
So when she hears of Prince Dayo's special council where the electees are as close as siblings she feels this is her chance.
But her benefactor, the lady has other ideas, born just to fulfil a cruel prophecy where she is destined to kill Dayo Tarisai must fight the force and will of the lady who controls her to not allow this destiny to come to fruition.
A really clever and engaging story with great characters and a well thought out plot.
For a debut this is really good and I am looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.
