Intriguing concept and I can’t wait to read more of it. Tasirai is a half human/half mythical (not quite sure if the other half is a demon/djinn or Fairy creature) that was created by her mother for the sole purpose of killing an emperor.
I like the writing style - it’s very clear and simple. I think because the author is Nigerian, I recognise some of the references she’s used like “abiku”. I don’t get the animal references just yet but I’m certainly intrigued to want to read more. I’m already hoping and wondering how Tasirai will break this command her mother has put on her. I want to know more about Songland and the redemptors. I want to know why the Lady is so set on revenge(?) and the process by which the 11 are chosen. Lol as I’ve mentioned a couple of times already - so far so intriguing.
