I didn’t know how much this book would capture my attention. I started reading it with my friend and both of us noticed that it was going to be a 5 star read from the start. The characters were so smart and it was simply beautiful. I can’t wait for the rest of the series. I was honestly shocked and impressed by the ending. I really don’t even know how to express how much I loved this series. I do have to mention that I don’t normally love all the romance in fantasy books, but this was was actually cute. I felt like I was a child discovering her first love again. I do also enjoy the fact that everyone had a backstory and reason for their action. It wasn’t just all black and white. I think that was a lesson the main character learned because she thought of herself as evil and a monster at the start. I also loved the sacrifices at the end. It was truly impressive to me.
