I loved this book. The mythology, the main character, everything about it.
It's a tale of escape, of curiosity, and mystery and intrigue for the reader. The protagonist is a girl, she doesn't know much and lives quite a sheltered life. It's no wonder she wants to escape. To leave. To see and explore life.
It was such a captivating read. I couldn't put the book down. Every word had me hooked till the end.
The characters were so relatable and likeable, the main one in particular. Even her situation was a relatable one. We always want to explore more than what we know. See more than we have seen. And she doesn't know much at all, not even the lady's true name.
So apart of us as readers are encompassed in the girl, in her wishes and dreams to escape and see more.
