The synopsis was so intriguing. It gave a good impression of what to expect from the book and the journey you were about to embark on by reading. The cover was eye catching and atmospheric.
This book did not disappoint. This YA fantasy was exciting and engaging from the start. I loved the characters and the story development. The plot and world building showed great imagination.
It did take some concentration to get to grips with the world they were in but I quickly became accustom.
It has made me want to read more YA fantasy. I used to read a lot of this genre but have recently stepped away from it. This has made me want to pick up more in a similar vein.
I would certainly read more by this author and look forward to seeing more of her work. I will most certainly read the sequel to Raybearer. Thank you for giving me the chance to read this title, and apologies it has taken so long to get to it.
