I thought the story was fun with inspiration from Monsters Inc, Neverwhere and a little bit of Harry Potter and Flue Powder.

The only problem I had with it was the Americanisation of the language (candy, fanny pack) with a book which was meant to be set in London.

I think for a kid though this would be a great read for the Autumn.
