A dramatic thriller that hooked me from the first page
From the dark, shadowy cover and the sharply intriguing first line, I knew that this book would be my kind of read.
I love multiple narratives in thrillers, and I am already enjoying how the characters connect to one another while still making an impression individually. Laurence is obviously in over his head, and I am intrigued to see just how precarious his situation (both domestically and professionally) really is. And the women we've met so far make quite a team, each with strengths and capabilities that I'm looking forward to seeing more of.
