The opening pages of this book introduce us to the the leading female character as she over hears her husband (who thought he'd hung up) speaking to Nina in a tone of voice indicating they are more than friends! Thus begins our leads mission to find out who Nina is and to get enough information to divorce her husband and grab her share of their finances. The blurb and opening paragraph however tell us that this mission is going to lead to a death. What we don't know at this point it whose!
The opening pages of this book sound interesting. I like that the narrative appears to consist of strong female characters.. I like that I've no idea who is going to die so this isn't a simple whodunit. I like the writing style it feels noir-esque in some ways...though I can't put my finger on why.
